This was just for fun, don't try and be to nit picky with this project. I wanted it to be a little raw, thus why the piano tracks aren't perfect but are just 1 take going through it.
I'll Be Home For Christmas
This was the first to be recorded, I've always loved this song, but never really hear any modern versions of it, so I wanted to put a new twist on it. Here's some background on the song if you'd like a good read while listening to it :)
I'm dreaming tonight
Of a place I love
Even more then I usually do
And although I know
It's a long road back
I promise you
I'll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love light gleams
I'll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
Written by: Kim Gannon, Walter Kent and Buck Ram
Tom Wehrle: Ebow, Keyboards, Drum Programming (basically anything and everything you hear)
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas
This is really basic, like I mentioned about, just wanted to give it that feeling of me sitting down at the piano and playing it. This song is from Meet Me in St Louis, which as you know is where I live and a great old classic film as well.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Let your heart be light
From now on, our troubles will be out of sight
Have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
From now on, our troubles will be miles away
Here we are, as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
Faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us
Once more
Through the years, we all will be together
If the fate allow
Hang a shining star above the highest bough
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now

All Is Well
I doubt many people have heard this song. It was on a CD called Christmas by Michael W Smith, and it featured a boys choir, it's so much better then my version, but hey, I don't have access to a boys choir or orchestra...but this is the Tom Wehrle version anyways right?! haha...enjoy, I stole the drums from this off a previous TW song.
All is well all is well
Angels and men rejoice
For tonight darkness fell
Into the dawn of love's light
Sing A-le
Sing Alleluia
All is well all is well
Let there be peace on earth
Christ is come go and tell
That He is in the manger
Sing A-le
Sing Alleluia
All is well all is well
Lift up your voice and sing
Born is now Emmanuel
Born is our Lord and Savior
Sing Alleluia
Sing Alleluia
All is well

Silent Night
What can I say, I like Coldplay, so be sure to listen to the whole thing, and I'll give a cookie to the person who can name what Tom Wehrle song the drums were stolen from, haha...enjoy :)
Silent night Holy night
All is calm all is bright
'Round yon virgin Mother and Child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace
Silent night, holy night
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heav'nly hosts sing Alleluia
Christ the Savior is born
Christ the Savior is born
Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, came on a silent night
For you and I
Christ our Savior was born on a silent night
For you
For you and I
He came and died
He came and died
For you and I

Baby It's Cold Outside
The first time I remember really hearing this song was in the film Elf. I'm sure I heard it before then, but again, that's when I actually remember hearing it and really liking it. Needless to say, songs 5-8 of this ep were recorded in 2009, 4 years after the first 4 were recorded. I asked people via Twitter, Facebook & MySpace what songs I should try recording cause I had a few weeks of down time to try this. And this song was one of the ones suggested. I'm really surprised we pulled it all together in the little amount of time we had. And a special thanks to my brother David for pulling this off and getting Lori to sing on it! :)
I really can't stay
(But baby it's cold outside)
I've got to go away
(But baby it's cold outside)
This evening has been
(Been hoping that you'd drop in)
So very nice
(I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice)
My mother will start to worry
(Beautiful what’s your hurry)
My father will be pacing the floor
(Listen to the fireplace roar)
So really I’d better scurry
(Beautiful please don't hurry)
But maybe just a half a drink more
(Put some records on while I pour)
The neighbors might faint
(Baby it's bad out there)
Say what's in this drink
(No cabs to be had out there)
I wish I knew how
(Your eyes are like starlight now)
To break this spell
(I’ll take your hat, your hair looks swell)
I ought to say "no, no, no sir"
(Mind if I move in closer)
At least I’m gonna say that I tried
(What’s the sense in hurtin' my pride)
I really can't stay
(Oh baby don't hold out)
Baby it's cold out side
I simply must go
(But baby it's cold outside)
The answer is no
(But baby it's cold outside)
Your welcome has been
(How lucky that you dropped in)
So nice and warm
(Look out the window at that storm)
My sister will be suspicious
(Gosh your lips look delicious)
My brother will be there at the door
(Waves upon the tropical shore)
My maiden aunts mind is vicious
(Gosh your lips are delicious)
But maybe just a cigarette more
(Never such a blizzard before)
I've gotta get home
(But baby you'd freeze out there)
Say lend me a coat
(It's up to your knees out there)
You've really been grand
(I thrill when you touch my hand)
But don't you see?
(How can you do this thing to me?)
There's bound to be talk tomorrow
(Think of my lifelong sorrow)
At least there will be plenty implied
(If you got pneumonia and died)
I really can't stay
(Get over that old out)
Baby it's cold outside
Baby it's cold outside
Baby it's cold outside
Baby it's cold outside
Baby it's cold, it's cold outside
Till you’re in my life
It’s cold outside
When you’re not
You’re not by my side it’s cold
Baby it’s cold, it’s cold outside

Angels From the Realms of Glory
I found a version of this song on YouTube while searching for versions of this song to remember exactly how it went, and sure enough, I found this one that was kinda cool and based my version off of it. But I also added in the chorus from Angels We Have Heard on High. Ethan came over and we did this in a few hours...love it!
Angels, from the realms of glory
Wing your flight o'er all the earth
Ye, who sang creation's story
Now proclaim Messiah's birth
Come and worship
Come and worship
Worship Christ the newborn King
Shepherds, in the fields abiding
Watching o er your flocks by night
God with man is now residing
Yonder shines the infant light
Come and worship
Come and worship
Worship Christ the newborn King
Gloria in excelsis Deo
Gloria in excelsis Deo
Sages, leave your contemplations
Brighter visions beam afar
Seek the great desire of nations
Ye have seen his natal star
Come and worship
Come and worship
Worship Christ the newborn King
All creation, join in praising
God, the Father, Spirit, Son
Evermore your voices raising
To the eternal Three in One
Come and worship
Come and worship
Worship Christ the newborn King
Gloria in excelsis Deo
Gloria in excelsis Deo

O Holy Night
This was the first song I decided to do for this additional 4 songs...and man, I should have thought threw doing this song in the key of E. That's high! Oh well, I think it turned out well, and I love keeping these songs simple...less is more! :)
O holy night the stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees O, hear the angels' voices
O night divine, O night when Christ was born
O night divine, O night, O night Divine
Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the wise men from Orient land
The King of Kings, lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend
He knows our need our weakness is no stranger
Behold your King! Before Him lowly bend
Behold your King, Before Him lowly bend
Truly He taught to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise His holy name
Christ is Lord! O praise His name forever
His power and glory evermore proclaim
His power and glory evermore proclaim
He knows our need, and hears our voice
So sing and fall on your knees, praise the King
Behold our King
He came to die for thee
Yeah, behold for He’s our King
Behold, He's our King

Christmas Medley
I wanted to do a few songs on piano, just me playing piano. So while recording the piano for these songs, I just hit record and took a few stabs at these few songs tied altogether...this one sounded the best :)
